Mission – Vision – History

Mission

Lead educational processes for children, youth, and adults while considering their economic, social, cognitive, cultural, ethnic, sexual, ethical, communicative, and emotional diversity. To this end, we serve as the center for innovation, research, and teacher training at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. Our goal is to foster critical, autonomous, ethically, and politically aware individuals who are diverse and have a sense of social responsibility. These individuals will contribute to the understanding and transformation of reality from human, artistic, and scientific perspectives, as well as to the consolidation of a peaceful community.

Vision

As part of the nation’s historical and cultural heritage, the IPN envisions itself as a space for ongoing innovation. Based on the pedagogical expertise of its faculty, the IPN collaborates with the UPN to reflect on educational policies that contribute to the education of children, youth, adults, and teachers who strive to build a democratic, pluralistic, and peaceful society. This innovative character allows the IPN to serve as a model for the university in training teachers.
